Van Dyke was first known on radio and Broadway, later known for his role as Rob Petrie in the CBS television sitcom The Dick Van Dyke Show, which ran from 1961 to 1966. He is also famous. significantly thanks to her roles in the musical Bye Goodbye Birdie, Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Her other major movies appearances include roles in The Comic, Dick Tracy, Curious George, Night at the Museum, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, and Mary Poppins Returns. Other prominent television roles include lead roles in The New Dick Van Dyke Show, Diagnosis: Murder and Murder 101, both of which played alongside his son Barry.
